About Me
Hello, moin, servus
I'm Daniel, a developer and product engineer studying Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich. I work between native iOS, web products, connected hardware, and the systems needed to ship them reliably.
What I am building
My current work is split between Boop and x70. Boop is a local-first iPhone utility for compatible WHOOP straps and Apple Health. x70 is the brand, product studio, and web agency behind a growing set of public tools, apps, and client systems.
Before that, I worked at Brainlab through May 2026 on automated testing for medical video software, led product development at Hir3D, and built exam, developer-tool, and hardware projects. The common thread is turning ambiguous ideas into products with clear technical boundaries and evidence that they actually work.
Engineering beyond software
I completed the IB at Haileybury UK before moving to Munich. My mechanical work includes a bicycle rack for carrying skis and snowboards protected by a registered German utility model (DE 20 2024 102 461.3), developed from early sketches through physical prototypes. In winter, I also teach skiing as a DSLV Level 1 instructor.
You can explore the full timeline below, browse the projects on this site, or follow the code on GitHub. For a conversation about a product, collaboration, or technical problem, email contact@x70.one.

Curriculum Vitae
Founder of Boop, a local-first iPhone utility bridging WHOOP 5.0/MG wearable data directly into Apple Health with on-device AI and no Boop account or health-data cloud, without the need for a subscription. • Implemented native CoreBluetooth stream decoders and packet parsers for WHOOP 5.0 and MG hardware. • Built a SwiftUI/HealthKit pipeline for offline sync of continuous HR, sleep staging, HRV, RHR, and workouts. • Architected Preserve Mode (read-only) and Trim Mode (durable chunk clearing) for two different sync workflows. • Deployed local AI models for physiological insights without sending sensitive health data off-device.
x70 is my personal brand and design-driven web agency — the shell I use to sell websites, ship products, and run the wider ecosystem. • Design, build, and manage websites for local businesses. • Built the multi-site network: Home, Apps, Portfolio, Links, Boop, Skirack, Social, Design, and Tools on a shared stack and brand system. • Maintain centralized design CDN assets, privacy-first tools, and product surfaces alongside client delivery.
Working Student
View BrainlabI joined Brainlab in November 2024 as a Working Student and worked with the Snke team through May 2026, focusing on Quip, a compact operating-room computer for streaming, viewing, recording, and remotely sharing video captured by Quip Eye. • Wrote Python and Robot Framework tests for user-interface workflows and REST API endpoints. • Built reusable test libraries and integrated automated coverage across CI pipelines, reducing repetitive manual testing. • Tested Chromium-based workflows and network-dependent behavior, and contributed targeted product bug fixes.
Internship
View BiosensorsIn summer 2024, I completed a biomedical engineering internship at Biosensors focused on a vacuum-catheter concept for minimally invasive mitral valve fixation. • Modeled and printed four catheter-tip prototypes with a Formlabs 3 resin printer. • Tested attachment, suction stability, and needle access on pericardial tissue, then used each failure mode to guide the next geometry. • Documented a preliminary bench result: Prototype 4 held the tissue during needle passage and improved needle orientation in that setup. The study did not establish clinical readiness or patient outcomes.
Co Founder and Developer
DroneSH was a side project I co-founded with a friend, providing drone service packages to clients both locally and beyond our city. • Co-founded DroneSH, a specialized service provider offering aerial data capture, including 3D building scans, high-resolution videography, and professional imaging to clients in local and extended regions. • Developed and maintained an online portfolio showcasing past projects and visual content to document the project's capabilities and completed work.
Project Lead Developer
View Hir3dI joined Hir3d when a good friend asked me to help develop an idea for automating hiring. • Led the development of an AI-assisted recruitment platform for resume analysis, candidate discovery, and evaluation. • Built recruiter workflows for creating job searches, reviewing candidates, and managing organizations and background jobs. • Developed the candidate portal for CV uploads, structured document analysis, and correction requests. • Managed the technical roadmap and multi-app infrastructure across the marketing site, recruiter dashboard, and candidate experience. • The original hir3d.one domain is no longer active; the frontends remain as Vercel portfolio demos.
I worked as Founder and Developer on Xams from February 2023 through March 2025. The experience is listed as Exams on LinkedIn; Xams is the product name used throughout this portfolio. • Built ExamTimer / ExamManager with a close friend to streamline exam timing, scheduling, and school organization workflows. • Built classroom timer flows (reading, writing, extra time) and staff dashboards for creating and running papers. • Iterated through multiple product generations (timer app, Next.js manager, SaaS rewrite); the original domain is offline and the frontends remain as Vercel portfolio demos.
Founder and Developer
At BitStore, I developed and managed Discord tools that were offered in both free and premium versions: • Developed Discord tools utilizing Python and Go, providing free programs on GitHub while offering premium versions through the project website. • Built and maintained features across the free and premium versions. • Managed the development lifecycle from initial ideation through launch and maintenance.
Internship
In 2018, I completed a placement at the Helmholtz Institut, where a connection through a family friend provided me with an opportunity to explore technological advancements: • Gained exposure to research initiatives and observed practical applications of scientific concepts. • Explored emerging technologies, including hands-on insights into 3D printing and its applications.
